Bad Checks. Warren-based state police report a suspect wrote a check to Johnson’s Tire Service in Clarendon on April 15 that was returned for insufficient funds. The suspect paid the balance and prosecution was declined by the victim.
Theft by unlawful taking. Warren-based state police report on April 27, at 10:55 a.m., a suspect filled a blue Ford Ranger with $55.02 in gasoline at pump #2. He went inside and purchased other items but failed to pay for the gasoline. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 814-728-3600.
DUI. Youngsville Police report on April 24 at approx. 9:00 p.m., Edward Black of Pittsfield was arrested for driving under the influence. Black was stopped after police observed him committing multiple traffic offenses. After further investigation, the police found Black to be highly intoxicated. Charges of DUI (highest rate) and several summary charges are being filed with District Judge Lindemuth’s office.
Disorderly Conduct. Youngsville Police were called to Youngsville High School on April 24 for a disruptive female student. Upon arrival, police were met by an administrator that stated he was threatened by a student and that student was being disruptive in class. Police have filed harassment and disorderly conduct charges against the student through District Judge Lindemuth’s office.
DUI and Weapons on School Property. Youngsville Police were called to Youngsville Elementary Middle School on April 9 at approx. 1:00 p.m. for a reported intoxicated female on the property. While in the school, Yvonne Ames, 34, of Youngsville was found to be in possession of a bottle of liquor, a knife, and small cutting blades. Ames was arrested for DUI and Possession of a weapon on school property. Charges of DUI of alcohol and controlled substances, weapons’ possession and several summary charges are being filed with District Judge Lindemuth’s office.
