Theft. Conewango Township Police were dispatched at approximately 7:15 p.m. on April 22 to Wal-Mart for a retail theft complaint. Police said prior to their arriving, a suspect fled into the woods behind Warren Commons. George Heatherdale, 46, was found in the wood after a brief search. He was wanted by Pennsylvania State Parole and was lodged in the Warren County Jail. Police said Heatherdale will answer to a summary retail theft at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office for stealing merchandise valued at $59.98. Warren-based state police assisted at the scene.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that between 10:30 p.m. on April 22 and 10:30 a.m. on April 23 at Dairy Delight, someone forcibly gained entry into the business by prying a partially secured side door. Police said the intruder ransacked the office area and stole approximately $550 in quarters and $500 in $20 bills, and then exited the business through the rear door. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police reported that a crash occurred at 10:48 a.m. on April 23 on Route 62 at the intersection with Old State Line Road. According to police, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Blaine Hankins, 46, Jamestown, N.Y., was traveling south on Route 62. As he was slowing down for a vehicle turning onto Old State Line Road a 2004 Chrysler, driven by Nicole Reges, 30, DeYoung, struck the rear of Hankins’ vehicle. Police said his vehicle received minor damage and Reges’ vehicle was towed from the scene. Neither driver was injured, and both refused medical treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Police said Reges was charged with following too closely.
Sugar Grove Boro
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on April 21, at the Kwik-Fill parking lot, Shelby James Tyler, 21, Warren, allegedly subjected a known 17-year-old female, Warren, to physical contact by forcibly pushing her into a vehicle, causing injury to her right arm. Police said Tyler will answer to the charge of harassment in district court at a later date.
