A “Woodcock Watch” will be held beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Environmental Learning Center at Chapman State Park. Join the park naturalist for one of Pennsylvania’s most spectacular spring moments, when the male American Woodcock takes tot he sky in one of the most bizarre mating rituals ever seen. Hill & Dale to meet
The Hill and Dale Garden Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Sugar Grove Presbyterian Church. “Linda’s Cactus & Other Succulents” will be the program topic, and all those interested will make up a dish garden. Participants are invited to take a sack lunch. Hostesses will be Pam McCarthy, chairperson, and Carol Eckert and Isabelle Hanson. Devotions will be led by Eleanor Johnson.
