College news

Youngsville High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford women’s softball team member Amber Fox had an RBI infield hit during the second game of the Lady Panthers’ doubleheader sweep of Hilbert College on Wednesday. Pitt-Bradford won 15-0 and 7-0 to improve to 14-10 on the season. Entering Wednesday,

Fox was hitting .192 with two runs scored and two RBI in 13 appearances for the Lady Panthers. Fox and Pitt-Bradford return to action Thursday, visiting Medaille for another doubleheader.

Sheffield High School graduate and Penn State Behrend men’s track & field team member Kalil Slaughter helped the Lions to a victory in a tri-meet held Tuesday at Allegheny College in Meadville.

Slaughter won the 100-meter dash with a run of 10.92 seconds, won the 200-meter dash in 22.28 seconds and joined with teammates to win the 4X100 relay with a run of 43.63 seconds.

Slaughter and the Lions will compete at the John Carroll Invitational on Friday.
