Pauline Ann Woll, age 86, former resident of Jamestown (Fluvanna), NY, passed away on April 6, 2013, in Houston, Texas, where she had resided for the past year and a half. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester “Stoney” Woll; her parents, Paul D. and Minnie Sikstrom Wagner; and her sister, Gwendolyn Nichols.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Fluvanna Community Church. Following the service, a reception and opportunity to meet with the family will be held at the church.
Mrs. Woll was born on June 17, 1926, in Warren, Pa., and graduated from Warren High School in 1944. She married Lester Woll on July 17, 1948, and was married for 59 years until his death in 2007. She resided in Fluvanna on Chautauqua Lake for 56 years for all but the first few years of their marriage. Her last employment was as a buyer for Bigelow’s Department Store in Jamestown. During World War II she was a riveter at Deluxe Metal in Warren. She was a member of the Jamestown Coin Club and an honorary member of the Jamestown Metal Detecting Club. An avid golfer, she participated in league play for many years. Mrs.Woll attended Fluvanna Community Church.
She is survived by her brother, Donald P. Wagner, Sr. and his wife Lola of Longview, Texas; nieces and nephews, Sandra Nuhfer and her husband Tom of Tiona, Pa., Wilford Winner and his wife Jane of Palm Bay, Fla., Karen Swanson and her husband Alan of Fort Collins, Colo., Donald P. Wagner, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Franklinville, NY, and Sherry Adell and her husband Steve of Missouri City, Texas, with whom Mrs. Woll resided since November of 2011. She is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews.
