Benefit planned

First Church of the Nazarene will have a benefit at Bob Evans in North Warren from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 20. Proceeds – 15 percent of sales for those who have a flyer – will benefit the church’s building fund. Flyers, which must be presented at check out, are available at Bob Evans and at the church (the church office is open until 1 p.m.)

Class to lunch

Warren High School Class of 1944 will have lunch Thursday, April 18, at the Eagles Club, Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren, with a get-together at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon. Spouses and significant others are invited.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at the Ridgway Moose Club. The Vagabonds of DuBois will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited. For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.

Youths host band

The Youth Group of First Church of God, Warren, will sponsor the Jay Michael Band from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at The Crossing, Hickory St. at Pennsylvania Ave. W., Warren. This will be a youth event, and coordinators encourage all youth groups from the area to attend and enjoy fellowship, games and prizes.

Discuss chronic health conditions

If you are more than 60 years old and have a chronic condition such as arthritis or high blood pressure, you are invited to a free “Chronic Disease Self Management Workshop” offered by LifeWorks Erie. The program is open to all those with chronic illnesses and teaches techniques that can help with the management of any chronic condition. Classes will be held for six weeks from 2 to 4:30 p.m. each Monday at the Allegheny Community Center in Warren beginning April 22. To register, call 723-4180.
