Pumping in the floor

A Pumpcrete of Clarendon truck pumps concrete Monday from a Wayne Concrete mixer to the second floor of the new Northwest Savings Bank building on Pennsylvania Avenue in Warren. Pumpcrete Operator Jeff Perkins said the the truck used hydraulics to move the concrete more than 100 feet and 15 to 20 employees of Maya Brothers of Erie distributed it. The floor of the second-story required about 130 cubic yards of concrete. The Pumpcrete truck is able to move 10 cubic yards in about four minutes, Perkins said. Concrete pumping for the upper stories of the building will continue as weather permits.
