Art entries accepted

Revitalization Of Youngsville (ROY) will present the Fine Art and Vino Venue April 20 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Youngsville Fire Hall. Entries for the art competition are being accepted in three categories paintings of any subject, paintings of a wine-related subject and useful wine related item. There is a $5 entry fee, but there will be no commission charged on sales. Call 563-4286 or email for information and entry forms.

Baby shower planned

“The I Stand for Life” organization will host National Community Baby Shower Day, a charity drive that organizations nation-wide participate in to benefit their local pregnancy centers. The event will benefit the Pregnancy Support Center of Warren County, and will be held at the Warren Mall, indoors near the Kmart entrance, on Saturday, April 20, from 2 to 7 p.m. “I Stand for Life” will collect diapers, wipes, bathing products, clothing and other baby needs to be donated to the Pregnancy Support Center and distributed to families in need throughout Warren County. ISFL has also set a goal to raise $50 to provide the PSC with a new car seat. Last year, they raised more than $100 and were able to purchase two car seats to go along with the community donations

Trail meeting

The Allegheny National Forest Chapter of the North Country National Scenic Trail will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, at the Lion’s Den in Sheffield. This is the beginning of the group’s busy season with trail checks and damage repair before the Allegheny 100 Challenge on June 7. The project planned for National Trail Days will be along Chapel Run on June 1. The group will host a seminar to help anyone use a GAPS (Global Position System) on May 25, and the national conference will be in Slippery Rock Aug. 12-17. Crafters to meet

North Warren Crafters will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, at North Warren Presbyterian Church. Participants should take a personal project on which to work and ideas for the coming program year. Dessert will be provided by Marilyn Sampson. New members are welcome.

Slocum art shown

A monoprint titled “Dancing Tulips” by Geraldine Slocum of Warren has been accepted for the Erie Art Museum Spring Show which will run April 21 to July 7.
