Wolboldt search goes national
Information on the search for Dan Wolboldt has gone nationwide.
Wolboldt, the 69-year-old North Warren man who has been missing for three weeks, is listed on the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
Through CLEAN and NCIC, any police officer who runs a check on Wolboldt’s name will be able to see he is listed as a missing person by the Conewango Township Police Department.
Missing persons cases are among those uploaded to the CLEAN and NCIC databases.
NCIC and CLEAN information can also be shared with other agencies, according to Conewango Township Police Chief Jason Peters.
Wolboldt’s information and likeness appear on private missing persons websites, including pennsylvaniamissing.com.
Wolboldt is the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 13 of North Warren.
According to the Chief Cornplanter Council’s Facebook page, officials are hopeful that they will be able to help search and may soon organize a volunteer search effort for Wolboldt.
The Council has also changed the profile picture on its Facebook page and asked people to show their support for Wolboldt by using the picture of a candle as their profile picture.
