TRAP: Corry approaching perfect score in scholastic trap

Corry was just three targets shy of a perfect score Tuesday in the second week of the Warren County Scholastic Trap League season. The Beavers posted the highest score of the young season, finishing with a score of 172 while recording four perfect scores.

Corry’s score of 172 was the third highest in league history. According to league president Bill Wilson, Corry has set the goal of shooting a perfect team score of 175 this season and came within just three targets of doing so on Tuesday.

Corry was a 172-160 winner over Warren White. Tyler Brundage, Kelsey Martin, Tucker Corbett and Dalton Sipes all had perfect scores of 25 for the winner. Aaron Borger and Mark Cecco both shot 24 to lead Warren White.

In other action, Youngsville beat Warren Blue, 165-159 and Sheffield beat Tidioute, 165-149. Eisenhower fired a 154 on its bye week.

Youngsville’s win was highlighted by the 25’s of Logan Morrison and Michael Darling. Michael McDunn had a perfect score for Warren Blue. Sheffield’s Mikayla Holden was perfect in her teams win while Tidioute got 23’s from Lukas Divido and Gus Martin. Ethan Black, Brandon VanCise and Jacob Devereaux all shot 23 for Eisenhower.
