Glade Twp. launches information website

If you live in Glade Township and have questions about local government, Glade Township has a website for you.

The township has rolled out a new website, gladetwp.org, that provides 24/7 access to information on all realms of local government.

“(We) got it up and running,” Township Supervisor Chairman Dave Sedon told the Warren County Council of Governments on Wednesday. “It is quite user friendly.”

“It’s the first one of all the municipalities,” Glade Township Supervisor Vice Chairman Joe Scully said.

Sedon explained that the township worked with Jamestown-based EagleZip to construct the site. He said the site cost $800 for the program and an annual cost of $120 to operate. The township also has the ability to update the content of the site on its own.

The site features a directory of all municipal services and offers specific pages for information regarding sewer accounts, the recycling program and permits and ordinances in addition to a calendar that highlights township events.

One item the site currently does not feature is township supervisor meeting minutes.

“(We’re) hesitant about the minutes,” Sedon explained “(We) want to talk to our attorney about the minutes.”

“There’s been quite a few hits on that just today,” Scully added.
