CLAIR REPINE

Mr. Clair “Duke” Repine, 87, passed into the next life at 10:29 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 in Golden Living, Kinzua following a brief illness. He was born February 5, 1926 in Dayton, Pa. to the late Homer and Callie Lydick Repine.

He lived most of his life in Warren County. Duke was owner/operator of Repine’s Service Station from 1971 until retiring in 1991, although he never really retired. Every day, the “Boss” reported to the station and kept everyone in line. Duke served in the US Navy during WW II, was a life member of Sheffield VFW Post #8755, Sheffield Rod & Gun, and Sheffield American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Benson Repine, whom he married in Jamestown, NY on October 20, 1951; two sons, Daniel Repine and wife Candy, Sheffield and Douglas Repine and wife Patsy, Sheffield; three grandchildren, Jason, Chrissy, and Justin, Sheffield; three greatgrand children; seven siblings, Eugene Repine, Weldbank, Sarah Peterson, Chandlers Valley, Dilbur Repine, Sugar Grove, James Repine, Russell, Dennis Repine, Panama, NY, and Diane Dalrymple, Dewittville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Duke was preceded in death by a grandson Daniel Repine; a brother Lyle Repine; and two sisters in infancy.

A funeral and committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the Sheffield United Methodist Church with Rev. Neal Arthur, pastor, Victory Baptist Church, Clarendon officiating. Burial will follow in Sheffield Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:004:00 and 7:009:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Sheffield United Methodist Church.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Sheffield and Clarendon VFW Honor Guard or any military benefit program.
