Warren County summer music school registration opens
Warren County Summer Music School, in its 24th season, has opened registration for this summer’s programming. Classes for students entering fifth grade through adults will be taught June 10-28 at Warren Area Elementary Center weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Busses stop in Sugar Grove, Lander, Russell, North Warren, Pittsfield, Youngsville, Starbrick, Pleasant Township, Sheffield, Tiona, Clarendon and Warren.
Each student has opportunity to fill a schedule with five daily classes. Instrumental classes will be offered for woodwinds, brass, percussion, orchestral strings, guitar, piano, handbells and harp. Instruction also will be provided in voice, theater, visual arts, dance, instrument repair and yoga.
Applications have been sent home with Warren County fourth and fifth grade students and are available to all interested students entering fifth grade and higher. Adults and senior citizens are invited and encouraged to experience the joys of music and take classes of interest. There are a limited number of scholarships available.
