Varsity slate

Here is the varsity slate of action for county spring sports teams for Friday, May 22 through Tuesday, May 26:


Tennis: Warren at Cathedral Prep, 4 p.m.


Tennis: Harbor Creek at Warren, 11 a.m.

Baseball: Eisenhower at Frewsburg (NY), 1 p.m.

Softball: Eisenhower at Frewsburg (NY), 1 p.m.


Baseball: Jamestown (NY) at Eisenhower, 4 p.m.

Softball: Ridgway at Sheffield, 4 p.m.


Tennis: Olean (NY) at Warren, 4:30 p.m.

Softball: Eisenhower at West Forest, 4 p.m.


The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will provide exclusive coverage of the 2013 PIAA boys and girls basketball championship games. PCN can be located on Warren Atlantic Broadband channel 9 and Youngsville Cable channel 41.

This year’s lineup features one team from the local area – District 9 Class A champion Johnsonburg. The Rams started their PIAA run with a win over county team Eisenhower before wins over Shade, Smethport and Lincoln Park Charter put them in the title game against Vaux.

College news

Warren Area High School graduate and Maryland-Eastern Shore senior baseball player Brandon Schott was 4-for-5 with three doubles, three runs scored and a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the Hawks’ 17-15 loss to Georgetown on Wednesday.
