Kathleen L. Haumesser, 64, passed into the next life Monday, March 18, 2013 in St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness. She was born July 27, 1948 in Sheffield to the late Raymond and Dorothy Dorion Haumesser.

A lifelong area resident, Kathy graduated from Sheffield High School in 1966 and attended St. Vincent School of Nursing becoming a registered nurse. She earned a Masters Degree in mental health in 1988 from Gannon University. As an RN, she worked a short time at Kane Community Hospital before beginning a career at Warren State Hospital where she retired from. After retiring, Kathy worked as a parttime librarian for the Sheffield Library, worked puzzles, played bingo, and read. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of Americas Court De La Rogue #675. Kathy especially enjoyed spending time with family.

Kathy is survived by two sisters, Diana Church and husband Charles, Bradford and Pamela Haumesser, Warren; five nephews, Stephan Church and wife Monica, Travis Church and wife Michele, Michael Church, Philip Rodgers and wife Sarah, and Brian Church; and two great nephews Benjamin and Alexander Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Rodgers and Margaret Haumesser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, March 21, 2013 in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Sheffield with Reverend Father John R. Neff, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren. Friends will be received from 2:004:00 and 7:009:00pm Wednesday, March 20th at the Borden Lloyd Funeral Home. A Vigil Service will be held there at 8:30pm Wednesday evening.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or the American Diabetes Association.
