Dear editor,

I am the first to admit that we as a people are quick to to say, “that’s a great idea send someone else”. I appreciate the editorial on, “Where are the servants” and am again challenged to step-up and commit to helping our city.

Some would say why didn’t you go out and get 100 signatures and get on the ballot for City Council. The people I know in the city are not involved with politics but church and local sports activities and I used that as an excuse not to run but I feel that was a mistake. I am considering trying to get my 100 signatures on the ballots in the fall general election.

Thank you for the encouragement to re- think that I can be a servant not only at church but in the city also.
