Shirley P. Ringer, 90 of Troy, Pa., and formerly of Rte. 6, Youngsville, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the home of her granddaughter, Marie Coker, in Troy, Pennsylvania where she had resided for several months.

Shirley was born in Warren, Pa. on February 2, 1923, a daughter of the late Flossie (Wilcox) and Frank McIntyre. She had worked as a furniture maker at the former Star Manufacturing in Youngsville. She loved birdwatching, especially cardinals and hummingbirds. She also enjoyed gardening, playing rummy, game shows, and yellow was her favorite color! Shirley will be remembered for her joy of watching children and as a true animal lover.

She was the widow of Leo Ringer who preceded her in death March 20, 1984. Surviving, in addition to her granddaughter, Marie Coker, with whom she made her home, are a son, Leo Ringer, of Georgia; a daughter, Judy Buchanan, of Garland; 2 brothers Ralph McIntyre and Wilbur McIntyre of Youngsville; and 2 Sisters Bernice Davidson, of Erie and Jean Fehlman of Warren; several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ringer, a twin sister, Lucy Timlick, a sister, Natalie Russ, a brother, Tom (Edna) McIntrye, 3 grandsons Elisha Ringer, Lloyd Taylor, and Jess Smith; a granddaughter, Nadia Iverson and and a greatgrandson, Bow Jackson.

Friends will be received at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. in Youngsville on Tuesday from 12 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dave Bishop, pastor of Torpedo Community Church officiating. Burial will follow and will be private in Warren Co. Memorial Park.
