Good time of year to take that AARP refresher driving course on Friday, Mar. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This qualifies you for your continued car insurance discount if you’ve taken the full course no more than 3 years ago. If it’s been more than 3 years, you must take the full 8-hour course again. This is just a reminder to you that all drivers on your car insurance 65 and over must complete these courses to qualify for the car insurance discount. You must enroll in advance at 723-3237 to take the course. The next full course is April 8 & 10.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) continues at the Center by appointment only on Mondays thru Fridays until the tax deadline on April 15, 2013. This free tax service is available for senior, disabled, low income, earned income and child tax credit taxpayers and includes property tax and rent rebate applications. If you qualify, please call 723-3237 or 723-4180 to make your appointment.

All non-casino trips leave from the CRI parking lot located on Pennsylvania Avenue West, just over the railroad tracks on the left (along the river), unless otherwise instructed to park elsewhere. Salamanca Casino trips depart from the Big Lots parking lot at the Warren Mall, as always. Not sure, just call 723-3237!
ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. M-F with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Mon. & Wed. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches are available Mondays-Fridays at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers March 4-8: sloppy joe Monday; tuna noodle casserole Tuesday; stuffed peppers Wednesday, scalloped chicken Thursday and chef surprise Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
