Norman C. Houben, 74, of Youngsville, passed away Thursday night February 28, 2013 at the Rouse Warren Co. Home.

He was born February 7, 1939 in Silver Creek, N.Y., a son of the late Albert and Agnes Nichols Houben. Norman was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. He retired from Blackstone Valeo in Jamestown where he worked as a tool and die maker. Norman enjoyed hunting, had served as a Boy Scout leader for a number of years, and enjoyed racing snowmobiles for a period of time.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy Morrison Houben, whom he married October 4, 1969 in South Dayton, N.Y., a son Leslie Houben and a daughter Heather Houben, both of Youngsville, a brother Theodore Houben in Tennessee, and a granddaughter Amber Houben.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter at birth and a brother David Houben.

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
