Alice V. Gregerson, 81, of Brown Run Rd., Clarendon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Golden Living Kinzua Valley.
Alice was born June 17, 1931 in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Martha Strickland Kifer. She held various jobs and then raised her family. Alice was a member of the Salvation Army Church, and volunteered her life to the Salvation Army. Alice was also a former member of the First Baptist Church.
Alice was a Cub Scout Leader for years, and was a social member of Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department. She especially enjoyed her family, and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by four children, Walter “Wally” Gregerson, Harrisburg, PA, Rebecca Gregerson, and her husband, John Zayac, Broadview Hts., OH, Larry Gregerson, and his fiance, Annette Nelson, Clarendon, PA, and Terry Gregerson, and his wife, Heather, also of Clarendon, PA; her brother, William Kifer, Warren, PA; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Gregerson, whom she married on May 6, 1951 in Frewsburg, NY; her infant daughter, Carrie; and her two sisters, Laura Farnsworth and Ruth Ann Meadows.
Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave. E., Warren, on Wednesday, February 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Thursday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Hospice of choice.
