William C. “Bill” Fox, 62, of Conewango Avenue, Warren, PA, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Warren General Hospital due to health related complications.
Bill was born November 30, 1950, in Warren, PA, the son of the late William and Rachael Ferrie Fox. Bill was drafted into the US Army after high school. He served in Korea during the Vietnam War. In his lifetime career as a proud Local Union 66 operating engineer, he often said that he “crisscrossed” state after state and “back again.” Bill worked out of town most of his life building major bridges and roadways. He thoroughly enjoyed working on Warren’s newest Hickory Street Bridge. He was a member of the Eagles, the Clarendon VFW, and the American Legion. Bill was famous for his Ground Hog Day and Halloween parties. He enjoyed spending time at his camp near Chapman Dam, where deep family roots exist, and made an effort to get there almost everyday. He loved everyone and was loved by everyone he knew.
He is survived by his loving devoted companion Carol SteadmanReams, of Warren, PA, and her son, Michael J. Reams, his fiance, Michaela Lobenthal, and their son, Owin; four siblings, brother, Al Fox, and wife, Jeri, Clarendon, PA, brother, Jack Fox, and wife, Nancy, Pleasantville, PA, sister, Jeanne English, and husband, Mike, Lander, PA and brother, Stephen Fox, and wife, Lori, Russell, PA; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received at the Interfaith Chapel, Warren State Hospital, 33 Main Ave., Warren, on March 2, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Nancy Schwanke, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.
