D-10 DIVING: Warren underclassmen finish 3rd and 4th in girls diving
ERIE – Warren Area High School divers Christine Kuzminski and Allie Sedon finished third and fourth, respectively, at this past weekend’s District 10 Class AAA Diving Championships at Penn State Behrend in Erie.
Second-place finishers a year ago, McDowell divers won both the girls and boys 1-meter diving championships this year. For the girls, Julia Marn won the title, and will automatically advance to states, with a score of 397.20. Kuzminski was third at 333.85, and Sedon fourth in 302.55.
“The divers dove very well this year,” said Warren diving coach Chris Snyder. “The girls were competitive with the other divers, though we gave up some points on the degree of difficulty with some of their dives. Also, the two divers that finished first and second are both seniors and our divers were a junior and freshman. We are already looking forward to next year and showing that the Warren High School divers will be a team to compete with.”
For the boys, Mike Murphy is the D-10 champ with 380.05 points and Warren sophomore Drew Huey finished seventh with 260.45.
