Donna Wilson Salapek, 56, of Clarendon, PA, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Warren General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Donna was born December 15, 1956, in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Boyd and Iva Goodman Wilson. Donna will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother, friend, and one who was selfless. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed playing card or board games. Above all else, she especially enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Michael Salapek, and wife, Heather, Columbus, OH, Mary Fitzgerald, and husband, Richard, Clarendon, PA, Patricia Salapek, Warren, PA, and Paul Salapek, and fiance, Shelby Zurcher, Warren, PA; six grandchildren, Dylan, Lonna, Cadience, Kirsten, Brennan, and Leah; five siblings, Boyd Wilson, Jr. and wife, Bonnie, Robert Wilson, and wife, Barb, David Wilson, Anita Gilchrist and husband, Ron, and Debra Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Charles Wilson.
Friends will be received at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Monday February 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held there at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Kevin Haley, pastor, officiating.
