Lillian J. Oliver, 85, of Marienville, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Brookville Hospital. Born in Sheffield, June 27, 1927, Lillian was the daughter of William and Nellie Hearst Miller. Lillian is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In her early career, Lillian worked for New Process in Warren, PA and later at the Village Diner in Marienville, and for many years she was a devoted housewife. She belonged to St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Marienville and St. Ann’s Women’s Club. She also was a member of the Senior Citizens who met at MACA in Marienville. One of her favorite pastimes was BINGO at the Marienville West Apartments where she made her home.
She is survived by the following children: John Oliver and his wife, Marsha, of Marienville; Edward Oliver and his wife, Patricia, of Marienville; Kathleen Gardner and her husband, Leonard, of Marienville; Thomas Oliver and his wife, Donna, of Marienville; James Oliver and his wife, Kim, of Austin, PA; Michael Oliver and his wife, Jackie, of Marienville; Rosemary Everett of Marienville; and Elizabeth Oliver of Hanover, Maryland.
Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, George W. Miller and one sister, Enid Huckabone.
Friends and family will be received at the Ronald McDonald Funeral Home in Marienville on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 24PM and 79PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM at St. Ann’s Church in Marienville, with Rev. Gregory Passauer presiding. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Church in Crown.
