GIRLS HOOPS: Lady Eagles lose despite Karissa Cratty’s 23 points

OIL CITY – Youngsville falls to 5-16 overall with one game remaining on Thursday after a 56-40 non-league loss at Venango Catholic on Wednesday.

Youngsville led 22-19 at halftime on Wednesday after a 12-6 second quarter, but Venango outscored Youngsville 37-18 after halftime.

Showcasing a little bit more of the future, sophomore Karissa Cratty led the Lady Eagles this time, scoring a game-high 21 points, and twin sister Kennedy Cratty added 10.

No other details were reported.

Youngsville hosts Cambridge Springs in a varsity-only game at 6 p.m,. Thursday at Youngsville High School, with the boys’ game to follow.
