Jean P. Valone, 82, of Warren, died February 7, 2013 in the Warren Manor after an extended illness. Jean was born August 16, 1930 in Warren; the daughter of the late Albin Hultberg and Olga Swanson Hultberg.

A life long resident of Warren, she was the care taker for her family members. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she and her husband, Victor Valone were married in 1982. Jean was a volunteer at the Warren Community Center. After her husband passed on, Jean made a loving home for unwanted and neglected kittens; loving, cherishing and devoting her life to them.

Jean was blessed with the love of her family, wonderful and caring neighbors, and her friends at the Warren Senior Center. She will always be remembered for her kindness, loving and compassion. She loved shopping, walking and being among kind people.

She is survived by her stepson Victor D. Valone (Terry) Warren, Pa., a stepdaughter LouAnn Malta (Carl), Jamestown, NY, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Victor Valone, a stepdaughter Beverly Dukes, a stepgrandson Shawn Valone (son of Victor and Terry), a stepson Gary L. Valone, her Uncle Carl and Aunt Edith.

We give thanks to our family and our friends who shared in Jean’s wonderful life.
