Nazareth College has announced that Lainey Catalino of Warren has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester. Catalino is a junior studying music theater. A student’s grade point average must be at least 3.5 or better, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean’s list at Nazareth.

Lauren Rene Stevenson of Warren graduated from Chatham University in Pittsburgh on Dec. 16 during the commencement ceremony held at the University’s Athletic and Fitness Center. Stevenson graduated with a doctor of physical therapy degree.

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, Erie, has awarded undergraduate spring research fellowships to the following area students:

Garrett Fiscus, a junior from Russell, and Michael Jaskolka, a junior from Warren, are studying “Characterization of (mlo) Grapevine Following Treatment with Methyl Jasmonate and Salicylic Acid.” The research is being supervised by Christopher Gee.

Mitchell Straight of Warren was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester and graduated from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio, during fall commencement ceremonies. Straight studied sport studies-sport management. To be eligible for dean’s list, Straight maintained a grade average of 3.25 or better and was enrolled in 12 or more credit hours.

Trevor Colvin, a law major and a resident of Garland, was among the 3,000 students from The University of Toledo who were named to the fall 2012 dean’s list. The dean’s list recognizes full-time undergraduate students who earn a 3.5 or above grade average for the semester.

Jacob Moore, son of Randy and Kristin Moore of Warren, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Duquesne University. Moore is in his fifth year in the doctor of pharmacy program.
