Alisa Pellegrino, daughter of Dan and Diana Pellegrino, was named to the dean’s list at the University of Pittsburgh’s main campus for the fall semester. To qualify, a student must attain a grade average of 3.5 or better. Pellegrino is a junior pscyhology major with plans of pursuing a doctor of physical therapy degree. She is a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma Sorority.

Olivia Auell of Russell was named to the fall 2012 dean’s list at Taylor University, Upland, Ind. Full-time students are named to the dean’s list when they have earned a grade average of 3.6 or better for the term and taken at least 12 hours of classes.

Brittany Rosenburgh of Grand Valley a student at Youngsville High School, has been selected to represent Pennsylvania as a National Youth Delegate at the 2013 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University, Fairfax, Va. Rosenburgh has been awarded the opportunity to join a select group of 250 students from across the country to participate in an intensive week-long study of leadership in environmental science and conservation June 23-28. Rosenburgh was chosen based on academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in the sciences and conservation studies.

Christine Huey of Warren has been named to the dean’s list for academic achievement for the 2012 fall semester at Kent State University. To be named to the dean’s list, full-time students must earn a grade average of 3.4 or better.

Trevor Potts of Russell has been named to the dean’s list at Gannon University for the fall 2012 semester. He is the son of Jennifer and the late Thomas Potts.

Joel M. Carr received his doctorate in polymer science at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, on Jan. 16. He is the son of Edward and the late Barbara Carr and now resides in Pittsburgh with his wife, Sheila.

Kristie Steffan of Sheffield was named to the dean’s list at Clarion University of Pennsylvania for the fall 2012 semester with a 4.0 grade average. Steffan is majoring in education with a concentration in middle school math.
