Philomel to meet

The Philomel Club of Warren will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Woman’s Club of Warren, 310 Market St., for a “Viva I’talia” program. Chairperson Mary Donaldson will introduce performers Joseph Lucia, Carolyn Worley, Mary Beth Whiting, Joan Eighmey and Josephine Simonsen. Hostesses will by Carol Anderson, Carmen Culbertson and Ann Simpson.

Trip to parks

The brochure for the Western National Park trip will be available at the Allegheny Community Center on Tuesday, Feb. 5. A down payment will be due upon sign-up in order to keep some of the choice hotels. It can be found in the computer room, to the right of the door, and the slot will be marked “Western Trip.” This trip is scheduled for May 28 through June 19.

Class to lunch

Warren High School Class of 1959 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Cornerstone, 308 Pennsylvania Ave. E. Turn onto Elm Street at the light; parking in the rear. The restaurant is handicapped-accessible. Guests are welcome.

UKC forms

A United Kennel Club (UKC) is organizing in northwestern Pennsylvania. The newly formed LakeLand All-Breed UKC is having an informational and organization meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Perkins Restaurant in Meadville. The club is open to all dog owners interested in adding another area of interest to their love for the canine companion and all they can do. UKC promotes conformation, agility, rally, obedience, weight pull, lure coursing, dock diving, and earth dog.
