Judge accepts pleas, issues bench warrants

Five defendants pleaded guilty, five pleaded not guilty and five bench warrants were issued during arraignment proceedings on Thursday before Judge Maureen Skerda.

The following pleaded guilty:

Shawn D. Patterson, 7109 Bloomer Rd., Mayville, N.Y., to one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession with intent to deliver were not prosecuted.

Allan M. Shoemaker, 346 Swede Hollow Rd., Sugar Grove, to one count of theft by unlawful taking. A count of criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking) was not prosecuted.

Nathan Edward Southwick, Warren County Jail, to one count of criminal trespass. One count each of criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking were not prosecuted.

Mary Marleen Vanhart, 50 Shadybrook Lane, to one count of simple assault. A charge of harassment was not prosecuted.

James Robert Wightman, 10 Scenic Lane, Irvine, to one count each of flight to avoid apprehension, trail or punishment and driving while operating privilege is suspected/revoked. One count each of resisting arrest or other law enforcement, duty of driver on approach of emergency vehicle, maximum speed limits, restriction on alcoholic beverages, restraint systems and false reports to law enforcement authorities were not prosecuted.

The following pleaded not guilty:

Andrew Michael Close, 41 Lynn Dr., to one count each of DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC +.16) – 1st, DUI: general impairment – incapable of safe driving – 1st, turning movements and required signals and traffic control signals.

Harrison Andrew Flasher, 18 Park Ave., to theft by unlawful taking and criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking). Adam C. Fox, Warren County Jail to simple assault and harassment.

Theodore James McKendree, 10094 Jackson Run Rd., Sugar Grove, to two counts of indecent assault and one count of harassment.

Christian Vail, 309 Lincoln Ave., to one count each of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment.

Bench warrants were issued for the following:

Kimberly Bogardus, 14 Cedar Ave., Apt. 1, Jamestown, N.Y., charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy (retail theft).

David Lee Harkins, 6660 Matthews Run Rd., Sugar Grove, to one count each of criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking) and theft by unlawful taking.

Raymond Dale Snyder, 104 Holly St., charged with one count each receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking. On another docket, an additional bench warrant was issued for Snyder’s arrest. He has been charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of resisting arrest or other law enforcement.

Andrew Nils Yaegle, 1111 Mead Run Rd., Youngsville, charged with one count each of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
