RUDOLPH ROTHRAUFF

Mr. Rudolph “Rudy” Rothrauff, 80, Sheffield, passed into the next life at 9:52 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Warren General Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born November 19, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to the late Ruth Hopkins. Mr. Rothrauff was retired from the steel mills in Pittsburgh and had been a resident of Warren County for the last eighteen years. He was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed guns, and loved trains.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 22 years Catherine Powell; fourteen children: Rudolph Meighan, Jr., Warren, Stephen Rothrauff, Warren, Jodi Rothrauff, Russell, Jody Ambroselli, Pittsburgh, Dennis M. Powell, Sheffield, Amy Simoni, Pittsburgh, Bill Powell, Sheffield, Dennis C. Powell, Warren, Stacy Dinnel, Vestal, NY, Michelle Jorden, Sheffield, Tracey Rothrauff, Debbie Rothrauff, Terry Rothrauff, and Rhonda Rothrauff, all of Pittsburgh; two brothers: George Meighan, Titusville and Gary Hopkins, Fla.; 34 grandchildren: Nicholas, Beanie, Adrianna, Deanna, Daylynn, Katie, Dennis, Jr., Abbey, Larry, Tosha, Stevie, Keichaun, Matt, Ariel, Valerie, Camden, Dustin, Cody, Reily, Sam, DaVaughn, Dylan, DJ, Gianna, Sophia, Addison, Joshua, Rudolph, III, Kallena, Courtney, Casey, Adrianna, Alexis, and Autumn; several greatgrandchil dren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Rudolph was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Meighan and a brother Phillip Meighan.

Friends will be received from 2:00 4:00 and 7:00 9:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at BordenLloyd Funeral Home. Funeral and committal services will be held there Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Father John R. Neff, pastor, St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sheffield Cemetery.
