Ciroli celebrates

Edward “Skip” Ciroli will celebrate his 100th birthday on Jan. 12. Skip attributes his longevity to his love of coffee and work. Upon retiring at the age of 65 as a machinist, he started a recycling business and continued until two years ago. MS Walk planned

A planning committee meeting for this year’s Multiple Sclerosis Walk will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Perkins in Warren. Coffee and cookies will be provided. The walk is planned for Sunday, May 19, at Betts Park with 1 p.m. registration and 1:30 p.m. start time. Volunteers are needed to make the walk a success. Volunteers help with publicity, solicit businesses for donation and to form teams, and assist in community connections to help grow the participant base and spread awareness about MS. Win at bridge

The results of Monday’s duplicate bridge game at the YMCA: Beth Howe and Carol Lake, first with 22.5; Matt Oram and Doug Megill, second with 21.5; and Hal and Mary Conarro, and Sally Steele and Dot Boekeloo, tied for third with 20.5.

MOPs hosts speaker

MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) of Youngsville, for mothers and their preschool aged children, infant through kindergarten, will host a guest speaker who will share an opportunity to save money by using coupons, explain where to find them and more. Cost will be $5, and participants should take a notebook. The group will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at First United Methodist Church in Youngsville.
