Raymond A. Hardy, 49, of Sanford Rd., Pittsfield, Pa., and formerly of Spring Creek, Pa., died on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at his home.

He was born on April 2, 1963 in Corry, Pa., a son of the late Francis A. and Mae L. Slee Hardy.

Ray was raised and educated in Spring Creek and has been a life long resident of the area.

He attended Spring Creek Community Church. Ray helped as a volunteer at the Spring Creek Firehall, the Spring Creek Community Church and the chicken BBQ events. Ray enjoyed making various crafts with his mother, watching television, fishing and doing projects in his brotherinlaw’s workshop.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene F. Hardy.

Ray is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Brown and her husband Robert of Pittsfield, Pa., and Ellen Murdock of Corry, Pa.; two nieces, Velma Brown and Thelma VanSile; and two nephews, Adam Murdock and Joshua Murdock.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 2 p.m. Rev. Timothy Smitley will officiate.

Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery.
