College news

Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford men’s basketball player Tyler Fantaskey scored six points for the Panthers during a 66-62 loss to La Roche College on Saturday.

On Sunday, Fantaskey added six points in a 62-44 victory over Franciscan. Fantaskey and the Panthers (7-5) return to the court Wednesday when they host Hilbert College.

Youth mat

Several members of the Warren Little Dragons wrestling team traveled to Kane for a 5-Man Round Robin Tournament this past weekend. Finishing first for the Dragons were Billy Anderson (7-8 year-old, weight group I), Jimmy Kramer (11-12, D) and Nolan Nudd (11-12, L).

Second-place finishes were achieved by Lucas Douvlos (6 & under, D), Beau Paris (11-12, E) and Owen Balas (11-12, F) and third-place finishers belonged to Alex Yeager (6 & under, A), Tyler Gern (7-8, B), Jarod Peterson (7-8, I), Connor Cummings (9-10, H) and Alex Anderson (11-12, C).
