Schedule changes

Several changes have been made to the Sheffield Area High School athletic schedule. The Coudersport at Sheffield wrestling match originally scheduled for December will be made up on Tuesday, January 22, at Sheffield Area High School. Junior high matches will begin at 6 p.m. with varsity matches getting underway at 7 p.m.

The Johnsonburg at Sheffield girls basketball game that was scheduled for January 22 will now be played at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at Sheffield Area High School. The Brockway at Sheffield junior high boys basketball game that day will now begin at 3:30 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 4 p.m. tip off.

Warren will make up its road swim meet with Strong Vincent at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 22. The event will be held at Erie East High School.

Freshman hoops

The Warren freshmen boys basketball team was a 58-45 winner over Jamestown (NY) on Thursday. Evan Suppa led the Dragons with 22 points, Ryan Skerda chipped in 10 points, Sheldon McMeans finished with nine, Jason Waterfield seven, Will Bablak five, Mark Reiff three and Anthony Deppas two.

The Dragons return to action Tuesday, hosting Oil City.
