Common sense

Dear editor:

Have we become so dependent on someone or something mechanical to tell us what to do, that we can’t make our own sensible decisions? I watch people of all ages running cash registers that can’t make change without a cash tending button. God forbid you hand them a penny AFTER they’ve hit the cash tending button. Counting back change is a thing of the past.

The 4-way stop at Liberty St. and Penn Ave. have handled traffic the best I’ve seen in 60 years. We all need to be more patient and courteous with some common sense. It’s as easy as 1,2,3,4 . . . first goes first, second goes second, third goes third & fourth goes fourth. If someone goes out of turn . . . so what! Be patient, smile & be glad it’s not you. Life is way too short. Stop signs are very cheap and taxes are way too high. Quityerbellyachin!
