Annual outdoor show set Jan. 12-13

This January, everything you need to face the great outdoors will be coming in from the cold.

On Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry (WCCBI) in conjunction with the Council on Tourism (COT), will be hosting the Warren County Outdoor, Travel and Gun Show at the Warren Mall.

According to the WCCBI website the show will, “promote hunting, fishing, hiking, paddling, boating, ATVs, snowmobiling, adventure racing and much, much more.”

The show, in its third year at the mall, will have some new features this year.

According to COT Director John Papalia, “There will be some gun vendors at the show this year, which is a new addition and something we are very excited about. There will also be an outdoor auction Sunday the 13th at 3 p.m., which is also a new addition to the show.”

This year’s show will feature over 50 vendors, according to Papalia, “something for any outdoor enthusiast!”

Some of the vendors Papalia said will attend include:

Animalistics

Leisure Time Power Sports

Buckhaven Wildlife Art

Art Farm USA

Rich’s Outdoor World

Grizzly Gary Outdoors

Dream Boat Marine

River Valley Surplus

Oak Ridge Game Calls

Castaway Charters

We have vendors from all aspects of the outdoor world; hunting, fishing, paddling, ATVs, guns, trapping, camping and travel,” according to Papalia. “Along with our outdoor vendors, we will also have a great selection of food vendors at the show!”

Outdoor-related presentations will be featured throughout the day during the show.

Papalia noted the mall has been an ideal location for the annual event, providing plenty of space and parking.

The event is more than just a trade show.

“The object of the event,” Papalia said. “Is to attract people into our county as well as to offer the outdoor related businesses a place to showcase their product.”

Admission to the show is free and the event is open to the public. Vendors interested in appearing at the show can contact Papalia at jpapalia@wccbi.org or by calling 814-723-3050.
