Learn to snowshoe

A free winter workshop on snowshoeing will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Allegheny Outfitters, Pennsylvania Ave. W., Warren. Topics will include: how to pick your snowshoes; what to wear; what to pack for a day trip; importance of hydration; how to use a compass; what to know if you get lost; and health benefits of snowshoeing. The public is invited to attend and get involved in a winter activity

Class to breakfast

Warren Area High School Class of 1966 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Perkins Restaurant. All classmates, spouses, former faculty and friends of the Class of ’66 are welcome. No MS meeting

The Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will not meet in January. Meetings will resume in February with a guest speaker from Results Rehab & Fitness.

Flute circle set

A new Native American flute circle will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Community Room at Thorne’s BiLo. Anyone with a Native American flute or a Native American style flute or an interest in the topic is invited to attend.

Warren High School Class of 1945 will have lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Perkins Restaurant in Warren.

Auxiliary meetings

The Ladies Auxiliary to Conewango Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles 313 will not meet at regularly scheduled times in January. Members should note meetings will be held Tuesdays, Jan. 8 and 22, at 7 p.m. at the Aerie Home, 2101 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren.

To dance Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at the St. Marys Moose Club. The Vagabonds of DuBois will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited. For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.
